TOP TENT FACTORIES FROM CHINA - How RTTs are made. There are a few countries that produce large quantities of RTTs, for example Portugal, Turkey, South Korea, South Africa, USA, etc. but they only cover 20% of the entire industry. We include here also the start-ups that produce 1-2 expensive tents from various countries. The rest of 80% of roof top tents are made in China by around 8 factories. The Chinese factories have evolved a lot in the last 6 years and are now able to innovate by themselves or assimilate and copy innovative trends. Chinese factories are capable of producing cheap RTTs or Premium ones and they are working with multiple USA, Australian or European top brands (Tepui, Thule, ARB, Ironman, etc). The majority of the roof top tents are high quality and long lasting, with one exception in our view, and these are the ones made in Turkey with poor cheap and rusty materials but still sold at medium/high prices.
In the video we have 3 years old images from 5 Chinese factories and we can confirm that many of them have upgraded since then but the principles/steps of roof top tent manufacturing remain the same as: The materials/parts like canvas/textile/metal production, canvas cutting, canvas sawing, canvas isolating/gluing, tent assembly and tent packaging.
As you van see in the video, the RTTs are hand made and require a lot of skill, dedication and time from multiple people. It is not an easy work to create a full roof top tent and one mistake can ruin an entire product, this is why you need such a trained and delicate workforce.
We will continue to teat RTTs and investigate this industry in our own Trails style until we know everything there is to know about it. And by the way, if you want to learn more about RTT upgrades you can search inside our Trails community for words like "RTT" , "cort" or "episode". You ca double your overall experience of using RTTs if you know how to use and upgrade them, even up to a level that will not affect their warranty.

As for buying Alibaba or Amazon, well, for transportation care, warranty, higher quality materials and a higher level of quality control we do recommend buying them from dedicated brands that import such tents and not from ''no name'' Amazon sellers. Two tents can look the same but might have different materials, different canvas sizes, different zippers, different internal floor, etc. and considering the overall price, such small details cost a lot in the big picture.

Hello, i have the duster 2017 dci 4x4 model, i need your help, i want to change my tires and i think about for the cooper discoverer AT3 sport2, are they safe on wet asphalt, i have the cooper ATT and they are not good at all on wet asphalt, if you know someone else AT with good skills on wet asphalt i will hear you, ty very much.
go on Dacia Duster Trails Facebook Group and search inside for the AT chart / clasament . And yes we also graded the ATTs poorly. While AT3 Sport 2 should be much better on asphalt. Grabber AT3 is also a good asphalt tire with dry winters.

Ordered these tyres because I wanted a bit unusual size (235/75 r16) where the only other option was Hankook Dynapro AT2 which was cheaper and tougher (3 ply instead of 2 ply) but had worse wet performance, I hope I won't regret it

Cel mai bine este sa pui astfel de intrebari pe Grupul de Facebook cu pozele de rigoare ;) in acest fel cometariile se pastreaza mai bine. Ambele corturi sunt relativ similare.

When you say 9mm chains, do you mean the whole chain link is 9mm high or that the metal-thickness that the chain is made of =9mm thick?

WA and A are two different tires. Your simple W is better, on the other hand the EU clone called WA is mediocre.

Normal, tot ce testam noi e pe tot anul. ATTurile sunt anvelope de vara, asta am descoperit noi cat si a fost confirmat de Cooper pe email, deci ATT sunt chiar periculoase iarna.

Excelent video! Between General graber AT3 and Cooper AT3 4s , which one you choose? I have a Grand vitara ii and i need to change my tyres. I think these two are a very close call..
Grabber is a bit stronger than Cooper (on the sidewall) and consumes less fuel. Cooper on the other hand has a bit more traction. Both have the same level of asphalt safety. Do you have access to our AT chart? it is on the FB group
